Matt's Visit, Part 2

Back to last weekend...

On Saturday, we went to spend the day with Stuart & Ruthie. They are some of our very best friends in the world. Their son, Conall, is Tristan's favorite playmate. Their daughter, Caitlin, is Matt's goddaughter. She's only a couple of months older than Logan. It's always utter chaos when we get everyone together! It was great getting to spend time with them, and the kids had a blast.

Tristan & Conall started out playing in the hall. This was called the "pow" game. It involved crashing vehicles together, while shouting, "POW!"

Meanwhile, Logan & Caitlin had a great time playing with toys in the living room.

A little while later, the boys begged to go outside & play. So the boys, and their daddies, went to the front yard.

It didn't take long for Logan & Caitlin to realize they had been abandoned by their big brothers.

"Let us out!!!"

Hanging out in the house later...

Caitlin was trying on Tristan's shoe - on her hand!

That afternoon, we all went to a park. This park was awesome - a boy's wonderland! They had so much fun running, swinging on the tire swing, running, climbing, running, sliding, running, going through tunnels, running, hunting for dandelions, and running! The babies weren't so impressed. They both slept through most of the trip.

After the park, the boys were both sweaty, and coated with sand. (Kinda like sugar cookies, only yuckier!) There was nothing to do but throw them in the bathtub. Needless to say, all the kids (and adults) were exhausted by the end of the day!

Thanks again for having us, Stu & Ruthie. We really had a great time hanging out with you guys.

Check back tomorrow for Matt's Visit, Part 3 - church & Sunday afternoon at my folks' house.

We enjoyed seeing you guys, too. And the kids had so much fun! I love your sugar cookie comment -- too funny and true. I think we all slept well that night.

Hi all,
From Auntie Beverly in Australia,
It is lovely to see this blog and be able to catch up with your family. I have a public holiday today so have time to view all my emails. New job is great, money is good, Lisa is coming home in Aug. to live with me for awhile while she starts university...but she will be looking to share a house with other young people and bring her Very big dog down from Noosa to live with her. Way to big for a unit.
Well, Matt...you look fit and healthy and I sincerely hope you get home soon.
Love, Beverly
